I’ve been in marketing for almost 20 years. Right after I graduated, I got a job at the University of Colorado Alumni Association and I “coordinated” the membership and marketing department for almost three years. I loved it. From talking with members to developing new marketing materials, it was a great fit for me.
I moved on and tried my hand at grantwriting for a non-profit and while I was successful, I missed talking to people and creating new materials. Eventually, I found a great job working for a technical company in Denver, CO. I worked with lots of smart people, created really cool materials and learned a lot about the back end of the technical world.
After I moved to the Great Northwest I was offered a job at a fabulous local theatre marketing the theatre and all of the amazing acts that come through there. That job rocked. I left simply because the entertainment industry is a 24/7 business and I was needing a change. Below is a partial list of the stuff I know how to do, thanks to this amazing career path I’m on:
